Dear Nanaimo Squash Club Patrons,

You are invited to an Oktoberfest Round Robin tournament on Saturday, October 22nd from 12:00 noon and on.

  Nanaimo Round Robin rules:
       1. Games to 11 points, matches are best of 3 games.
       2. Please report your scores to the tournament director.
       3. Matches with 3 players are allowed when the courts are full.  The format of the 3 player match is a single King of the Court game to 15 with the fallback to 10 if you’re at 14 and lose the point.

Players will be ranked based on who has accumulated the greatest number of matches with different players.

Oktoberfest BBQ starting at 5:00PM

If there is a tie between players at the end of the matches, the winner will be determined by the results of the matches between those players. If they haven’t played each other yet, then they must.

Entry fee is $10 for members and $30 for guests of members. The winner will receive $60 to be used in the club - for lessons, in the lounge or gear available from the haberdashery.  Second place will receive $40 and third place will receive $20.

Friends and family members are welcome to come and watch.

Snacks will be provided for players and the lounge will be open from 4 pm onwards. Players are welcome to stick around after for a pot luck dinner - German sausages and sauerkraut will be the standby. Non-playing members are welcome to participate in the pot luck dinner too.

Sign up by responding to this email to Sylvia or by signing the entry sheet on the lounge counter at the club entrance. The signup deadline is Saturday, October 15 at 9 am. This is to ensure the event will take place as planned. Drop-ins will be welcome.
